The Biodiversity Gain Site Register Regulations 2024 requires Natural England to establish a public register of biodiversity gain sites.
The Biodiversity Gain Site Register (Financial Penalties and Fees) Regulations 2024 sets out the fees and fines related to applications to register land on the biodiversity gain site register.
Different fees are charged based on the type of application. These fees are listed in the Schedule.
Natural England may impose a fine of up to £5,000 for providing false or misleading information in connection with an application to register land on the biodiversity gain site register.
