NQA registered clients are authorised to affix both the NQA certification and registration marks. There are regulations governing the use of both marks, however, because some of the NQA registration marks incorporate the UKAS 'tick and crown' logo, the regulations on where it may be used are more prescriptive.

The following categories are available to download:

Guidance on the use of logos is given below. This guidance is formulated from regulations issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), ANAB Accreditation Rule 4 (issue date 10th December 2007) the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). Further information can be obtained from the applicable accreditation body websites which for UKAS is www.ukas.com for ANAB is www.anab.org.

Rationale:

These conditions for the use of NQA marks summarise how the different marks may be used to promote registration of management systems. NQA clients are encouraged to make use of marks to publicise registration, but particular care should be taken to ensure that the regulations governing the use of the marks, and how they are displayed, are complied with.

The NQA Certification Mark comprises the NQA logo and the name of the standard. The NQA Registration Mark comprises the Certification Mark plus the appropriate accreditation mark. Reproduction of the marks must reflect accurately the original artwork provided, in particular, the proportions of the different elements must be maintained.

Regulations governing the use of NQA Registration Marks are provided by the appropriate accreditation body: United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and the American National Standards Institute-American society for quality Accreditation Board (ANAB). All three regulations have been incorporated into this guidance note.

NQA-registered clients are provided with an NQA Certificate of Registration, stating which standard(s) the company is registered against. This should be used to identify which mark(s) may be used by the organisation. Subsidiary companies and site addresses not covered by the company's registration must not make use of NQA marks or imply that they are registered.

Contravention of the regulations governing the use of marks or misleading use of any NQA mark, including misleading claims or inferences about the registration provided by NQA, could result in the withdrawal of a company's Certificate of Registration.
