NQA/ JPD Training launches Your Carbon Footprint course
NQA and JPD Training launch new environmental training course.

Climate change is one of the greatest economic, social and political issues of our time. The demand from customers, suppliers and the public is quickly changing with respect to protecting the environment.
Organisations of all types and sizes need to be aware of the affect they are having on the environment and should be able to demonstrate what they are doing to reduce their carbon footprint.
Large corporate organisations are getting in on the act - with Marks & Spencer working towards carbon neutrality and HSBC achieving this last year. These companies recognise their responsibilities to their customers, stakeholders and staff to manage their carbon footprint, this course will help smaller companies do the same and reap the benefits.
Your Carbon Footprint will help organisations to take a pro-active approach to managing their carbon footprint by:
- Identifying the benefits to the business of managing and reducing carbon emissions
- Calculating their carbon footprint
- Developing a plan to manage carbon emissions
- Getting staff enthused and involved
- Reducing their carbon footprint
- Offsetting any carbon emissions that cannot be reduced
The course will explain in detail what climate change is - including a breakdown of climate change jargon, why businesses need to manage their carbon emissions and current legislation on carbon emissions. It will use case studies of companies that have effectively managed their carbon footprint and succeeded in becoming “carbon neutral”.
Who should attend? Environmental, health and safety and quality managers - anyone whose remit requires them to assist a company with becoming carbon neutral or reducing energy consumption. It will also be a good introduction to any employee who wants to help their company reap the financial and many other benefits of reducing their carbon footprint.
The course is an ideal background to Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and their implementation. NQA is one of the leading companies helping to provide EMS solutions to businesses in the UK.
Your Carbon Footprint will be led by Eve Anderton, Principle Business Advisor for NQA and JPD Training.
JPD Training and NQA can tailor this course to meet the exact needs and current business issues of a particular company. This bespoke approach allows companies to get maximum benefit from the training, both in terms of time and money.
