More about the transfer process:

If an organisation wishes to transfer their certification from another certification body to NQA, a copy of the organisations existing, current certificate(s) will need to be provided to initiate this process. A member of the NQA Automotive team will then take you through each of the steps required to ensure your transfer is successful and that you are able to benefit from the benefits NQA can offer.

During the transfer process NQA will conduct a review of the following information:

• Evidence that the existing certification is valid
• The previous audit report and any applicable corrective action
• Key performance indicators and trends
• Quality manual
• Evidence of customer satisfaction and/or any special status conditions

A transfer audit must then be performed before the current certification bodies next scheduled audit, (duration must be equivalent to a re-certification audit) following the successful completion, NQA will award certificate(s) against the respective standards with a validity of three years from the date of the transfer.

Transfers for TS 16949:

It should be noted that organisations looking to transfer certification of TS 16949 cannot transfer their registration if they have previously transferred from another IATF recognized certification body within the last three years.
