A Message To Our Customers

24 March 2020
During this unprecedented time we wanted to reach out and update you on how we’re approaching the situation at NQA and how this affects your certification.

NQA are first and foremost committed to ensuring the well-being of all customers, employees, associate partners and interested parties throughout this global event. However, as various organizations and states are experiencing shut downs, we want to ensure you that NQA are very much open for business and are continuing to support many clients through these extraordinary circumstances.
We are mindful of organizations’ needs to have business continuity in their operations, including maintaining required certification(s) for regulatory requirements or client requirements. As such, we are working hard to address our clients’ concerns and support the continuity of certification at this time using a number of different methods.
To support both your organization and our colleagues, with authorization from ANAB and the relevant industry bodies NQA is temporarily moving most auditing activities to remote audits for an initial period of three months. This means that if you have an audit in the next three months several weeks (to perhaps months), this will now be conducted remotely and virtually utilizing technology such as web meetings, document sharing and video streaming. As the situation evolves, NQA will continue to re-assess and will update practices accordingly.
We are working hard to complete as much auditing remotely as possible. In circumstances where processes or activities are not able to be remotely audited, we will defer part of the assessment and follow this up at a later date when it is safe to visit in person. Depending on your certificate type, we may have options to reissue the certificate or temporarily provide a six month extension following a remote audit, however this is only available for certain schemes.
Finally, we would like to assure you that we are focused on ensuring the continued validity of your certification and the continuity of our support. Your Client Support Representative is on hand to answer any questions that you may have and to steer you through this new way of auditing.
We would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you, your families and your organization well over the next few months.
