Aerospace Counterfeit Prevention Planning - Breakfast and Workshop
The technical focus of this event is to summarise the theory behind Counterfeit Prevention Planning and some of the tools/methods you can use to implement it effectively within your management system with a specific focus on the supply chain controls.
What the morning will include
It's important to us that if you are going to take time out of your busy schedules you should benefit from that time spent with us. This event will specifically include:
- An overview of NQA and benefits of certification
- Counterfeit and obsolescence
- Counterfeit prevention planning
- Risk management processes
- Requirements of the standard - what they actually cover - ie. not just electronics
We will give you some guidance on what methods you could use to manage and demonstrate you have a robust counterfeit prevention system.

Locations and timings
We propose to start at 8am for tea/coffee/breakfast and networking opportunity with NQA and your colleagues/peers from the surrounding Harwell Cluster area. The event will finish around 11am, where people will then have the opportunity to stay for a more informal chat if they wish.Date: Friday 15th November 2019

Who is Mike Venner?
Aerospace and Automotive Director at NQA Certification Ltd; a Global UKAS Accredited Certification Body. With over 17 years experience in management system development and deployment. Specialising in the AS9100 and AS9120 Aerospace Management System standards but also more widely known standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
An industry expert, widely trusted and respected amongst peers for managing an efficient and effective Aerospace and Automotive business unit within NQA. Michael obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) from Kingston University where he studied Aerospace Engineering, after a few years in industry, he quickly moved into Accreditation and Certification working for a successful Certification Body in the UK called IMS Reliance Ltd.
Michael spent 7+ years helping to grow the business with its partners to expand their offering to include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, AS9100 and AS9120 for a wide variety of industries around the world.
In 2018 IMS Reliance was acquired by NQA Certification Ltd and Michael’s role evolved to be the Aerospace and Automotive Director, supporting the EMEA business. Still to this day Michael is an active auditor; a key driver in retaining knowledge and skills within the Certification and Accreditation industry.
