Risk Management:
This is one of the new key concepts within the AS91XX series of standards, some of which stems from the ISO 9001:2015 standard and although organizations appear to be covering some elements of risk management they may not be fully understanding and applying the concepts in order to gain maximum benefit.

When risk management is properly applied it will not only reduce the risk to the business and processes but it can also identify opportunities and transform your management system to the next level.

Supply Chain Management:
This is one of the critical activities within the AS91XX series of standards and a lot of new requirements were placed into the recent revisions. There are some key messages and process requirements within this section and not all of them are being fully understood or addressed by organisations when assessments are taking place. This webinar will highlight the key requirements and explain in more detail what is expected, especially around the risk based approach to supply chain management.  We will run through some of the models and tools which can be applied such as the Supplier Selection and Capabilities Assessment, Product Performance Detailed Assessment, Supplier Quality Management Basics, Sub-tier Suppler Control and a common failure of Requirements and Flowdown.

Whether you are a large organisation with thousands of parts and services being purchased or a smaller entity with many off the shelf items, supply chain management is an important part of any AS91XX certification approval and a great deal of benefit can be gained if applied correctly.

Counterfeit and Obsolescence:
These two elements have been built into the new AS91XX series of standards in the most recent update and many organisations believe the requirements do not apply to them and it is often overlooked.  Organisations immediately think that counterfeit is related to electronics only and skip over the requirements but the requirements also impact materials, components and chemicals and there are not many organisations out there who do not purchase at least one of these types of items.  Obsolescence is often linked to counterfeit and incorrect management of obsolete parts, materials and chemicals can actually generate counterfeit items as they force the supply chain to hunt for items anywhere they can, which can sometimes be on the blank market.

Join us for an overview of the requirements and understand what the standard is asking you to do, we will give some guidance on what methods you could use to manage and demonstrate you have a robust counterfeit prevention system.

Q&A - you’ll be able to post your questions throughout the webinars in a live Q&A session at the end.
