Course aims

This course is aimed at those with an existing base knowledge of ISO management systems who wish to gain a greater understanding the principles and requirements of ISO 45001 OH&S management.

An ISO 45001 based OH&S management system will enable an organisation to improve its OH&S performance by developing and implementing an H&S policy and H&S objectives. It will also help you to establish processes which consider its 'context' and which take into account its risks and opportunities, and its legal and other requirements.

Learn to determine the hazards and OH&S risks associated with its activities and work to eliminate them or put in controls to minimise their potential effects (operational controls).

  • How to describe the aims and objectives of an OH&S management system considering ISO 45001

  • A summary of key terms and definitions

This course is aimed at:

  • Anyone needing to further understand or implement an OH&S management system to the requirements of ISO 4500:2018.

  • Anyone with a brief understanding of ISO standards and management systems

What else do I need to know?

  • Dress code - Smart casual - your cameras will be switched on and delegates and tutors will be able to interact with each other

  • Breaks - There will regular time slots allocated during your course for refreshment/restroom breaks.

  • Proof of attendance - You will be sent a certificate of attendance following your training.

  • What to have with you - We recommend that you have a copy of the relevant standard with you on the day to reference. You will receive a digital copy of all necessary materials before the course starts so please ensure you have access to these on the day and contact us if you have not received them.
