Expand your auditing skills and achieve the recognised standard of CQI and IRCA for internal auditors. This two day course takes an in-depth look at internal auditing and gives delegates the chance to gain a globally recognised qualification.

**Please note that we encourage all our delegates sitting on virtual courses to have access to a webcam. This will enable you to interact with both the tutor and other course attendees.**

Course aims

The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform an internal audit of part of a quality management system based on ISO 9001 (or equivalent), and report on the effective implementation and maintenance of the management system in accordance with ISO 19011.

This course will give delegates the skills and experience to successfully complete the CQI and IRCA Internal Auditor assessment and potentially progress to achieve Lead Auditor status.

It is recommended that as a minimum, delegates familiarise themselves with their own QMS and in particular, their own internal audit procedure before attending the course.

Consider attending the 1 day NQA ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) Introduction course or our essentials e-learning to gain a basic understanding of the standard.

How to describe the responsibilities of internal auditors, and their role in maintaining and improving management systems
How to explain the purpose and structure of ISO 9001:2015
How to plan and prepare for an internal audit
How to create objective evidence through observation, interview and sampling of documents and records
How to write a factual audit report that helps to improve the effectiveness of the management system
How to compile a list of ways in which the effectiveness of corrective action might be verified

What else do I need to know?

Dress code - Smart casual - your cameras will be switched on and delegates and tutors will be able to interact with each other.
Breaks - There will be regular time slots allocated during your course for refreshment/restroom breaks.
Proof of attendance - You will be sent a certificate of attendance following your training.
What to have with you - We recommend that you have a copy of the relevant standard with you on the day to reference. You will receive a digital copy of all necessary materials before the course starts so please ensure you have access to these on the day and contact us if you have not received them.
