60 Seconds with Pushpa Latha

We would like to introduce Pushpa Latha who has been with NQA for over 10 years in the Bangalore office. She has taken the time to talk to us this month about what she enjoys about working for our India office and discusses her most memorable moments.

What is your role?

I am working as the Training Coordinator in India. I have completed 10 years in NQA. I’m responsible for maintaining the day-to-day workings of the training department, ensuring each of our training courses are carried out to an excellent standard. Ensuring the availability of training resource well in advance, taking training material, exercises printout, arranging training hall, food, issuing of certificate. I deal with all training enquiries, whether it be helping to organise in-house or public training courses for the year or assisting customers/clients with which training they should be taking.

I am also responsible for other day-to-day work like preparing offers and negotiating with client until acceptance for audit and training, UK-survey monkey forwarding mails to UK Clients for feedback, communicating the revised procedure to all staff and associates. Visa arrangement for auditors.

Favourite things about working for NQA?

NQA has given good platform for learners. Here I have learnt all day-to-day work. It is like a family atmosphere. Here everyone will help each other. They will give encouragement to achieve their goal.

Top tip for people looking at certification?

ISO training courses are very valuable in the implementation of ISO standards for organizations as it teaches the important steps in preparation for certification. We run a number of training courses on different levels that will certainly help towards certification. We are one team and all work towards a common goal to make sure we are providing valuable knowledge and expertise to help you achieve your objectives.

Most memorable moment at work?

In my life December 1st is the memorable day. The day I joined NQA and I have completed 10 years in NQA. It has given good platform for me. I have learnt all kinds of work here not only training department but other department also. I am enjoying my work. Talking to customer for training purposes and help them to attend training program. It has created a bond between NQA Training department and our customers. Each and every customer recognises me as a training coordinator. They will feel free to speak to me any kind of queries not only from training department but also other department.
