WHAT IS YOUR ROLE?

I am an Aerospace Scheme Specialist in NQA Acton office. I know it sounds like a glamourous position - and it is! I love my job! 

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT AT WORK?

We have a great team here at the Acton office, we have a real family atmosphere and everyone is willing to dig in and help and so being able to participate in a team-building event at a local sports facility last year was a really nice change of pace. It was amazing to see my teammates laughing and having fun outside of the office. Also, I’m on board with any opportunity to show off my lack of drawing skills.

FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT WORKING FOR NQA?

First on the list would be the range of people I encounter. I spend so much time interacting with co-workers, auditors and clients that I can’t help but build relationships at NQA and each have their own pieces of expertise and knowledge to share.  It is great knowing I have people I can count on and that can count on me as well.

Aside from that, I would say my other favourite thing is when we all come into the office accidentally wearing the same colour scheme. It happens more than you would think and just shows how in sync we all are! 

TOP TIP FOR PEOPLE LOOKING AT CERTIFICATION?

My advice would be to make sure that right from the beginning you ask lots of questions and get involved in your certification journey. Be a part of the entire process. If there is something you need or an expectation you have, please let us know! We know certification is important to you and it is for us as well.

Another bit of advice would also be to do some research beforehand, know what you’re getting into and don’t forget that we have some really useful e-learning courses online to help you get to grips with the standards and their applications a little better. Let’s work together and achieve great results! 

HOW MIGHT YOU BE ABLE TO HELP OUR READERS?

Specifically, I can help Aerospace clients navigate through the OASIS database. This piece of software shows all audit reports and findings and allows clients to submit evidence to support improvements across their business. OASIS is a great system and I’m excited to share how it works, generally clients are very impressed with its functionality.
