The Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Tachographs) Regulations 2019

New provisions in relation to smart tachographs are to be enforced.
These Regulations set out amendments necessary to ensure that effective enforcement action may be taken by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and the police, if the smart tachographs requirements are breached.
Consequential amendments are made to the Drivers’ Hours and Tachographs (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 to remove overlapping amendments which are not yet in force.
