Laura Fletcher
Managing Director

Time with NQA: 14+ years
Qualifications: MBA, BA (Hons) HRM
Personal fact: Laura is a Yorkshire lady through and through, spending her spare time hill walking and baking!

Since joining the company in 2008, Laura has worked across the organisation in telesales, scheme development, renewable technologies, field sales and Commercial and Customer Experience Director.

As Managing Director, Laura is now responsible for NQA globally - driving the business into the future on an international scale.

Nicola Prejac
Finance Director

Time with NQA: 8+ years
Qualifications: ACMA CGMA
Personal fact: Nicola loves sport especially athletics and hates heights!

Nicola joined NQA UK in 2015 and is responsible for the group’s accounting function, ensuring that financial policies are robust, compliant and support NQAs objectives in the commercial environment. 

Along with other large global organisations like NQA she has previously been responsible for financial management and reporting within a Charity and LLP.
 

Stephen Burt
Carbon & Sustainability Services Director

Time with NQA: 10+ years
Qualifications: MSc, BSc, MIEMA, CEnv, IRCA Lead Auditor
Personal fact: Stephen lives close to Edinburgh and still loves to keep his hand in by conducting client audits now and again.

Stephen has experienced several different roles in NQA, originally acting as a sub-contract auditor and later a full-time auditor, before undertaking Field Operations Manager duties.

He now leads NQA's Carbon & Sustainability sector, as the business expands its position and offer in this increasingly important industry. 
 

Archie Gemmell
Field Director

Time with NQA: 8+ years
Personal fact: Archie is a big Scottish Rugby fan and although disappointing, isnt related to Archie Gemmill, the Scottish former footballer.

Archie joined NQA in November 2017 utilising his experience accrued over 22 years in the RAF to qualify initially as an ISO 9001:2015 Auditor. He has used this as the foundation to qualify as an AS9100D approved Aerospace Experienced Auditor (AEA). Following this Archie has subsequently qualified to audit against AS9120B – ASD Distributors and AS6081 – Fraudulent/Counterfeit Electronic Parts. As Field Director, Archie manages our field-based auditors and sub-contractors through the UK and Ireland, ensuring their competence and capabilities to enhance the audit experience for all NQA clients.

Samantha Roberts
Global Accreditation Director

Time with NQA: 8+ years
Qualifications: BEd
Personal fact: Sam is an animal lover with 2 dogs, Hetty (Miniature Schnauzer) and Roy (Cockerpoo cross). She is also a dedicated supporter of NQA’s 2024 Chosen Charity, Woodgreen, advocating for animal welfare and brighter futures for pets in need.

Since joining NQA in 2017, Sam has been a driving force behind the company's growth, quality, and operational success. Progressing through roles from Key Account Manager, Operations Manager to Commercial Director, she now serves as NQA's Global Accreditation Director, where she draws on her in-depth compliance expertise and ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 auditor qualifications to elevate global standards.
 

Gemma Whitfield
HR Manager

Time with NQA: 8+ years
Qualifications: BA (Hons), HRM, MCIPD
Personal fact: Gemma loves a challenge! She's completed the London Marathon, travelled solo around Thailand and Australia, and even perfomed a few parachute jumps! Gemma is also the lead singer in NQA’s employee band.

Gemma joined NQA in 2017 as the HR Manager and has supported the business on the Leadership team ever since.Gemma has helped the business grow through onboarding, people management, people development, engagement, succession planning and all things HR!

Gemma is a big believer that our people are our greatest asset. She strives to support all individuals in their career progression as part of the NQA family!
