Amends/Commences: The Health and Safety and Nuclear (Fees) Regulations 2022

Comes into force: 1st April 2023

Some fees listed by The Health and Safety and Nuclear (Fees) Regulations 2022 are increased by 2%. A new cost recovery regime for ionising radiation consents is introduced, which allows the Office for Nuclear Regulation (from 1st April 2023) and the Health and Safety Executive (from 1st October 2023) to recover their costs related to various applications

Clarification is given that the licensing authority can charge fees in relation to certain explosives matters even without the licence holder making an application.

This amendment has no direct relevance to occupational health and safety matters.
