Under the Climate Change Act (Northern Ireland) 2022, public reporting bodies* are required to prepare reports demonstrating how they are adapting to climate change in the carrying out of their duties.
*Reporting bodies include education authorities, further education institutions, health and social care trusts, and others. The list of reporting bodies is provided in the Schedule.
Reporting bodies are required to prepare climate change adaptation reports and climate change mitigation reports.
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs must issue guidance for the reports.
