How does a COVID SECURE Guideline Verification work?

During the verification, we will assess your organisation’s risk assessment, actions and plans which are related to mitigating the risk of transmission of COVID-19. The verification will be against the most up to date guidance from the government relevant to your organisational activities and sector. The verification will take place for each location you wish verified.

The UK Government’s latest guidance can be found at the link below:
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-coronavirus-covid-19

The Government of Ireland’s latest guidance can be found at the link below:
https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/22829a-return-to-work-safely-protocol/

The verification process will be split between a remote pre-verification activity and an on-site verification activity. The pre-verification will determine your organisation’s readiness for the onsite verification. This will primarily involve an assessment of your risk assessment and approaches to social distancing and cleanliness. The on-site verification will review the implementation of your risk assessment and associated controls inline with the government guidelines for your sector and business activities.

Upon successful completion you will receive a statement of verification and which includes access to the NQA COVID SECURE Guideline Verification logo. The logo may be used and displayed only in conjunction with the activities of the location that received verification.

NQA COVID SECURE Guideline Verification is an assessment as to the organisation’s arrangements at that point in time. The statement of verification does not warrant that the risk of transmission has been mitigated or that the controls will remain effective beyond the date of verification.

Please note: If you operate out of more than one site, NQA will individually verify each site against the relevant government guidelines.
