About Manor Concepts
For over 30-years Manor Concepts has been successfully serving the retail sector in the UK & Ireland with the business now being one of the UK’s leading suppliers of innovative solutions in retail display cabinets and associated equipment. Why PAS 2060 verification?
Manor Concepts’ client base includes organisations with their own embodied carbon and net zero targets. As a UK-based manufacturer, the company is uniquely positioned to support these goals, offering a competitive advantage over international suppliers. With increasing industry-wide focus on the environmental impact of manufacturing processes, Manor Concepts aims to lead by example as a carbon-neutral refrigerated cabinet supplier in the UK.
The audit experience
To establish its baseline carbon footprint, Manor Concepts partnered with Auditel - an NQA Associate Consultant and a recognised specialist in carbon accounting and reduction. In its second year of collaboration, Auditel measured emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, preparing the business for external verification.Auditel worked closely with Manor Concepts’ operational teams to gather data and conduct process surveys, ensuring carbon calculations aligned with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. The most significant challenge encountered was supplier engagement and data collection, as embodied carbon reporting remains a developing area within the industry.

The company continues to produce sustainable cabinets using clean energy processes, contributing to the protection of the planet.
With support from Auditel and the PAS 2060 verification, Manor Concepts has taken a leadership role in providing accurate, high-quality carbon data. This commitment is now embedded in the company’s culture, with ongoing efforts to improve and evolve its carbon measurement practices.
Next steps and future aspirations
Looking ahead, Manor Concepts aims to build on the knowledge gained through the verification process. The company plans to integrate sustainability considerations more deeply into the design phase, evaluating the environmental impact of materials, processes, and components.Additionally, Manor Concepts is exploring ways to address the end-of-life stage of its products, ensuring they are reused or recycled responsibly. The ultimate goal is to support a fully circular economy.
