Environmental Permitting to Include Flood Risk Activities

When does this change take place: 6th April 2016
 
These amendments establish a new scheme to regulate activities on or near watercourses in England and Wales with the aim of reducing administrative burdens on applicants carrying out activities that need approval because they could impact on flood risk or flood risk management.

They will also integrate all flood defence consents under the permitting framework
