These new Regulations introduce financial assistance for the agricultural and forestry industries with the creation of four new financial assistance schemes. These schemes are the “environmental land management pilot scheme”, the “countryside stewardship scheme”; the “farming investment fund scheme”; and the “tree health pilot scheme”. Applications for these schemes must be made to the Secretary of State.
