Regulation Amending Annex 17

What is the amended legislation: The amended legislation concerns the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) for bis (pentabromophenyl) ether
The amendment to Annex 17 of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 outlines the situations in which bis (pentabromophenyl) ether may be used.

Legislative background: The European Commission determined that an unacceptable risk to human health and the environment arises from the manufacture, use or placing on the market of Bis (pentabromophenyl) ether, on its own, as a constituent of other substances, in mixtures and in articles, after considering the opinions submitted.

These Regulations amend the:  REACH regulation EC 1907/2006 .
