Amends/Commences: Regulation (EC) 166/2006 on the establishment of a European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register
Comes into force: 15th June 2021

Amendments need to be made to allow the European Commission to effectively initiate reporting on the release of relevant pollutants that currently have no data on their release from diffuse sources. Additional minor changes are also made to allow the Secretary of State to amend the register of listed pollutants for certain purposes (e.g. scientific or technical progress).
