The New Heavy-Duty Vehicles (Carbon Dioxide Emission Performance Standards) (Vocational Vehicles) Regulations 2025

Procedures are set out for the correction of calculations of CO2 emissions from heavy-duty vehicles which have been misreported by their manufacturer as vocational vehicles* under Assimilated Regulation 2019/1242 setting CO2 emission performance standards for new heavy-duty vehicles.
*A vocational vehicle means a heavy-duty vehicle not intended for the delivery of goods, that is a vehicle fitted with a hook lift, tipper, concrete mixer, concrete pump vehicle, refuse collection vehicle, street sweeper, cleansing and drain clearing vehicle, compressor, vehicle for retail or display purposes, recovery vehicle, ladder vehicle, crane lorry, aerial work platform vehicle, digger derrick vehicle, fire engine, or a tractor with a maximum speed not exceeding 79km/h.
