Amends/Commences: Planning and Development Regulations 2001
Comes into force: 21st February 2022
Jurisdiction: Republic of Ireland
Developments that include a change of use of a premises to residential use from Class 1, 2, 3, 6 or Class 12 are exempt from the requirement to obtain planning permission. This exemption is in force until the 31st December 2025. After this date, such developments will be required to once again obtain planning permission unless further legislation is bought into force.
