European Union (Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) (Amendment) Regulations 2020

Amends: European Union (Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Regulations 2012
Comes into force: 29th January 2020
Jurisdiction: Republic of Ireland

Amendments are made to Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, implementing additions to the list of applications which are exempt from the directive in Annex III. This is done through updating definitions of the Directive.
 
The exempt applications are very specific and do not make overarching changes to the EEE to which these Regulations apply.
