The Control of Explosives Precursors and Poisons Regulations 2023

Amends/Commences: The Control of Poisons and Explosives Precursors Regulations 2015

These Regulations make provisions to strengthen existing safeguards that are in place to prevent the unlawful use of certain explosives precursors and poisons. They aim to control the sale of substances to the public, making it easier for authorities to detect people trying to buy high-risk chemicals that could cause harm.

References to licences issued under the now revoked Regulation (EU) 98/2013 on the marketing and use of explosive precursors have been removed from part 2 of the Control of Poisons and Explosives Precursors Regulations 2015.
