The Renewables Obligation (Scotland) Amendment Order 2024
10 April 2024
Amends/Commences:
The Renewables Obligation (Scotland) Order 2009
Comes into force:
1st April 2024
Jurisdiction:
Scotland
A framework is introduced, allowing the renewables obligation for the period beginning on the 1st April 2024 to be revised.
This revision has since been made and changes the obligation level to 0.491 Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs) per MWh. This is an increase from the obligation previously set, which was 0.487 ROCs per MWh. These changes have been made to ensure the obligation levels align with the UK Government’s new Energy Intensive Industry (EII) exemption level.
