This Regulation is amend the Annex XVII, of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), which is updated to include the substance (3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,8-tridecafluorooctyl) silanetriol and any of its mono-, di- or tri-O-(alkyl) derivatives. This respiratory sensitiser is classified as a dangerous substance and is found in commercial spray products.

A transitional period until January 2021 is proposed to allow stakeholders to comply with the restriction, including to deplete any stocks that are available.
