These Regulations add Ukraine and its corresponding code* to the list of countries for which information must be added to the driving licence if it is exchanged for a licence issued in the Republic of Ireland.
*Licensing authorities are required to make a note of additional information on a person’s driving licence, including whether an international driving licence has been exchanged for a licence issued in the Republic of Ireland. These codes indicate the restrictions that the person taking out a driving licence is subjected to.
