Changes are made to the Building Regulations 2010 in relation to new residential buildings. These changes make provisions for the installing of “gigabit-ready physical infrastructure” and a connection to a “gigabit-capable public electronic communications network”. These changes are aimed in ensuring that newly constructed residential buildings have access to next generation internet networks.
