Amends/Commences: The Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme Order 2020
Comes into force: 1st January 2023
Jurisdiction: United Kingdom
The UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS) now includes flights departing from an aerodrome in Great Britain and arriving in Switzerland. Due to this addition, changes have been made to the application process for the allocation of free entitlement that now require regulators to include this flight information (if applicable) in their application. If an application has already been made, then a recalculation must be made and resubmitted before 30th June 2023.
