The Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies Amendment Regulations 2019 (SSI 2019/118)

18 June 2019

Came into effect: 23rd May 2019
Jurisdiction: Scotland
Replaces: The Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies Regulations 2010

Certain definitions, references and schedules have been amended in order to ensure certain EU Regulations are current.

Amendments include removing the requirement under schedule 2 for notification of the body of a goat and the slaughter of bovine animals. And a new requirement has also been added where an inspector can serve notices on premises detailing the requirements for compliance. This includes serving notices on the person in charge of a slaughterhouse or a vehicle.
