Hazardous Substances Planning Amendments in Northern Ireland

These Regulations amend the Planning (Hazardous Substances) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 to specify that a council must now consult with the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs: 1) before determining an application for hazardous substance consent, and 2) where an application is made by a council to the Department for hazardous substance consent. Previously this consultation requirement fell on the Department of the Environment.
