The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme and Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme Regulations 2021

Amends: The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme Regulations 2014
Comes into force: 1st March 2021

The timeframe for applying to the Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme (“RHI scheme”) is being extended beyond the normal 12 months from the commissioning of a renewable heating system. Applications to the RHI Scheme for installations commissioned on or after the 1st March 2019 may apply for the scheme until the 31st of March 2022.

This extension has been introduced as restrictions bought in to combat the Coronavirus pandemic has caused some to be caught out by the 12 month window for application.
