The Plant Health (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 (‘2020 Regulations’) was introduced to allow import controls to operate properly to plant material imported from outside of Great Britain after the withdrawal from the United Kingdom from the European Union. This Amendment is made to address deficiencies in the 2020 Regulations to allow the controls to work as intended for imports from the countries of Liechtenstein and Switzerland.
