Amends/Commences: The Storage of Carbon Dioxide (Licensing etc.) Regulations 2010

 

Comes into force: 13th May 2025

Jurisdiction: UK 

From 13th May 2025, those who store carbon under a licence must retain information on carbon storage and carbon storage samples.

Carbon storage information includes: 
•    survey information; 
•    well information; 
•    site information; 
•    injection and production information;
•    monitoring information; and 
•    installation information.

Carbon storage samples must be retained for at least 6 months.
