Amends/Commences: Infectious Diseases Regulations 1981
Comes into force: 27th May 2022
Jurisdiction: Republic of Ireland
Human monkeypox virus is added to the list of notifiable diseases. Medical pratitioners must immediately notify medical officers if they suspect a person is infected with this disease.
Infected persons may be detained and isolated to prevent against the spread of disease.
