Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) Regulations

They amend the Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (England and Wales) Regulations SI 2015/962, to delay the coming into force of Part 3, which prescribes a minimum level of energy efficiency for private rented properties and introduces a prohibition on letting private rented properties which fall below that standard. Instead of these provisions coming into force on 1 October 2016, they will, as a result of the amendment, come into force on:
1 April 2017, in relation to non-domestic private rented properties; and
1 October 2017, in relation to domestic private rented properties.
