In order to improve public health within Wales, these Regulations will be implemented, revoking and replacing The Smoke Free Premises etc (Wales) Regulations 2007.
These Regulations prohibit smoking in certain premises, places and vehicles that are open to the public or used as place of work.
In order to continue the decline in the uptake of smoking by children and young people, Regulations are brought into force which are needed to implement the provisions on smoke-free hospital grounds, school grounds, and public playgrounds in the Public Health (Wales) Act 2017.
