Waste Management Licensing Tyre Exemptions Removed in Scotland

These Regulations amend the Waste Management Licensing (Scotland) Regulations 2011 so as to remove the exemptions from needing a waste management license for activities relating to the storage and treatment of waste tyres.

The Regulations set out transitional provisions for persons who were operating under an exemption immediately before these Regulations come into force. Persons can continue to operate under their existing exemption until they have gone through the process of applying for a waste management licence as long as they apply for a licence before 30th September 2016.
