Course aims

The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform an internal audit of part of an environmental management system based on ISO 14001 (or equivalent) and report on the effective implementation and maintenance of the management system in accordance with ISO 19011.

  • How to describe what a documented procedure for an EMS internal audit should contain

  • How to complete an audit and report the findings.

  • Quality, Safety and newly appointed environmental managers who need an introduction to environmental management systems and their internal compliance audit requirements
  • Managers and staff with responsibility for planning, performance and reporting of any form of environmental audit. This could range from system compliance to full site risk and liability assessment.

What else do I need to know?

  • Dress code - Smart casual - your cameras will be switched on and delegates and tutors will be able to interact with each other

  • Breaks - There will regular time slots allocated during your course for refreshment/restroom breaks.

  • Proof of attendance - You will be sent a certificate of attendance following your training.

  • What to have with you - You will receive a read-only copy of the relevant standard along with a number of course materials in the days prior to the course starting. Please ensure you have assess to these on the day and contact us if you have not received them.
